Three local women entrepreneurs are launching a wine bar, deli and pantry in Downtown Squamish.

Set to launch in the spring of 2021, Cordelia’s Locket will be located in the Sirocco buildings, the rental apartments on Loggers Lane.

The wine bar will be serving fine wines, Boozewitch mocktails, State B non-medicated beverages and more alongside a curated menu of charcuterie boards, and an assortment of cheeses, jellies and jams.

Elizabeth Mah of Paperclip Law; Kelly Ann Woods, formerly of Gillespie’s Fine Spirits and now of Brujera Elixirs House of Brands makers of State B; and Melissa Steacy are the women behind Cordelia’s Locket.

Elizabeth and Kelly are both winners of BC Business awards and Melissa brings a decade’s worth of experience in tourism and hospitality to the team, according to Victoria Bennet, a media relations person for Cordelia’s Locket.

“Together, these women are offering a new hive-like business model for their restaurant, Cordelia’s Locket. Their mission is to be a leader in promoting, supporting and strengthening the skills and contributions of diverse people in restaurant roles,” Bennet said.

Cordelia’s Locket is set to be the only oceanfront patio in all of Squamish offering customers a stunning view of the Stawamus Chief, as well as COVID-safe options for dining in or taking out, according to Bennet.

“Cordelia’s Locket also boasts an exquisite wine list, pantry, deli and ‘Cordelia’s Club’. Being from the community of Squamish, these business moguls, women and mothers, are ready to meet the needs of the Squamish community with their family-friendly policy and a menu to meet many dietary needs.”
