Staff report
December 21, 2020 2:16pm

Four counts of dangerous operation of a vehicle have been laid against a 29-year-old man from Gibsons in a multi-vehicle collision that occurred this September on Highway 99.

Christopher Irwin of Gibsons was charged on four counts of dangerous operation of a conveyance causing bodily harm.

At approximately 12:15 pm on September 5, Whistler RCMP was notified of a multiple vehicle collision south of Whistler on Highway 99 at Daisy Lake.

Upon arrival, officers learned that multiple vehicles were involved and several people had been injured.

Police determined that three vehicles were involved in the incident.

A black Land Rover collided with silver Lamborghini, sending the Lamborghini into the oncoming lane, where it struck a southbound Toyota Corolla.

As a result , several people, including two children, were injured and transported to the hospital.

“We take a zero tolerance approached to dangerous driving behavior and we will remain steadfast in our resolve to bring those that choose to drive in such a manner to account for their driving choices,” said Sgt. Hayes of Whistler RCMP.
