Heavy rainfall warning for Howe Sound

Staff report
January 2, 2021 9:59am

Environment Canada has issued a heavy rainfall warning for Howe Sound.

Rainfall amounts of up to 50 mm are expected over Howe Sound and northern sections of Metro Vancouver by this evening.

The heavy rain will end this evening as the front moves inland.

Localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible, and people are advised to not approach washouts near rivers, creeks and culverts.

Rainfall warnings are issued when significant rainfall is expected.

To report severe weather, send an email to BCstorm@canada.ca or tweet reports using #BCStorm.
