COVID-19 alert for Whistler grocery store

Loblaws has issued a new notification about a staff member testing positive at the Sewak’s Your Independent Grocer at 8200 Bear Paw Trail in Whistler.

The notification was issued today.

“The team member tested positive on a presumptive test for COVID-19. The last day the team member worked was on January 15,” Loblaws announced today.

“We are committed to being transparent to being transparent with our colleagues and our customers, and have all of our cases listed on our corporate website,” the company said.

There were more than 500 cases of COVID-19 between January and December 2020 in the Howe Sound region, according to data by British Columbia Centre for Disease Control.
