Police look for man who stole six Arc’Teryx jackets from Whistler store

Whistler RCMP are looking for a man who stole six Arc’Teryx jackets worth $5,000 from a Whistler store.

On January 7, at approximately 10:50 am, Whistler RCMP were received a theft complaint from a retail store in the 4300 block of Lorimer Road.

Police learned that on January 6, at approximately 5:45 pm, a man came to the store and ran away with six black Arc’Teryx jackets.

The suspect was described as a Caucasian male wearing black pants, a black Arc’Teryx jacket, a black face mask and a ‘Blue Jays’ baseball cap.

Whistler RCMP are actively investigating and are asking that anyone who recognizes this individual should contact the Whistler RCMP at 604-932-3044 or Crimestoppers.

Stolen BMW seized in Whistler

On January 7, at 9:30 pm, Whistler RCMP officers noticed a sliver BMW X3 leaving an underground parking lot in the 4200 block of Main Street.

Officers noticed that the license plate attached to the vehicle was not registered.

A traffic stop was conducted but the driver failed to stop and sped away from police.

Next day, at 9:15 am, Whistler RCMP located the abandoned BMW X3 and learned that the vehicle had been stolen out of Langley.

The vehicle was seized by the police for further investigation.
