The oceanfront development is being rebranded as Oceanfront Squamish with a new website where the proponents will share updates with the community.

Formerly called the Newport Beach Developments, Oceanfront Squamish will act as the primary moniker and rebrand for the peninsula moving forward, said Taylor Wood, the director of operations for Matthews West.

“As a team, we felt that Oceanfront Squamish better represents our vision, dream and plan for the community,” he said.

“This website replaces the Newport Beach Developments site and will be your go to source for updates and information regarding the evolution of the development site,” he said.

Wood said the work on Oceanfront to date has included extensive community input, careful consideration for environmental work, site specific civil and geotechnical considerations, and thoughtful master planning.

Wood said Oceanfront Squamish development will be a ‘new complete community’ with 100 acres of new homes, businesses, industries, green spaces and water access on the peninsula.

Carlos Zavarce, Director of Development, said the goal for the new website is to provide the community with an inside look by offering updates on construction, stories from the community and much more.

There will also be resources for interested buyers and businesses who want to be part of the development.

“One visit to Oceanfront Squamish and you’ll see why we’ve identified a single word that describes the feeling of being on site – unified. Unified by the ocean, the land, the people and our future.”

The company is also inviting people to join their mailing list for updates.

Fantastic news and happy to be a local resident and participant helping my clients friends and family to buy and sell their homes. So many Canadians and world travellers want a Squamish BC life experience.
