February 14, 2021 10:41am

Loblaws has issued a new notification about employees testing positive at the Sewak’s Your Independent Grocer at 8200 Bear Paw Trail in Whistler.

The notification was issued today.

“The team members tested positive on a presumptive test for COVID-19. The last day the team members worked was on February 7, February 10 and February 11,” Loblaws announced today.

“We are committed to being transparent to being transparent with our colleagues and our customers, and have all of our cases listed on our corporate website,” the company said.

Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) reported a decrease in community COVID-19 transmission in Whistler compared to previous weeks.

The majority of cases continue to be among young adults with transmission occurring predominantly in household settings.

VCH advises Whistler residents to avoid social gatherings, stay home when sick, wash their hands regularly, and maintain physical distance when in public.
