UPDATE: 2 more COVID positive at Whistler grocery store

UPDATE: Two more people have tested positive for COVID at the Sewak’s Your Independent Grocer at 8200 Bear Paw Trail in Whistler. They worked there on March 22 and March 26.

Loblaws has issued a new notification about employees testing positive at the Sewak’s Your Independent Grocer at 8200 Bear Paw Trail in Whistler.

The notification was issued today.

“Team member tested positive on a presumptive test for COVID-19. The last day the team member worked was on March 22,” Loblaws announced today.

“We are committed to being transparent to being transparent with our colleagues and our customers, and have all of our cases listed on our corporate website,” the company said.

Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) reported a decrease in community COVID-19 transmission in Whistler compared to previous weeks.

Those in Whistler concerned about COVID-19 can also call the dedicated COVID clinic line at 604-966-1428 between 9 and 2 pm daily.

An appointment will be made to speak with a screening doctor who will assess you over the telephone and decide if a COVID test is required.

If a COVID test is required, an in-person appointment will be booked by the screening Doctor at the new COVID Testing Centre located adjacent to the Whistler Health Care Centre on the edge of the Olympic Plaza.
