Upcoming rock scaling near Porteau Cove; expect delays

Upcoming rock-scaling work on Highway 99 is expected to cause delays.

The work will take place during night but is expected to affect traffic in both directions on Highway 99.

Rock scaling is planned between Porteau Cove Road and Porteau Cove, 10 kilometre south of Squamish.

This work starts on Wednesday, April 7, and continues until Thursday, May 13.

The work continues from 9 pm to 6 am on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

Single-lane alternating traffic will be in effect. Watch for traffic control personnel and expect delays.

Drivers should also watch for lane closures tomorrow from 7: 30 am to 3:30 pm at Mamquam River bridge for bridge washing.
