Man arrested for threatening to shoot people at Cat Lake

Squamish RCMP has arrested a man for threatening to shoot people at Cat Lake.

On May 29, police received a report of man who was uttering threats to shoot people at the lake.

Police arrested the suspect without incident, and seized a realistic looking airsoft pistol from him.

He was also found to be in breach of his probation conditions. He will now appear in court on charges of possession of a weapon for dangerous purposes and uttering threats.

Theft from Business

On May 25, Squamish RCMP received a report of a theft from a business located in the 40000 block of Tantalus Road.

The complainant reported that thieves had stolen a table and four chairs overnight, and had tried to steal a portable fire pit.
