Whistler RCMP shuts down rave at Soo River FSR

Whistler RCMP shut down a rave at Soo River FSR.

On July 18, at 7 pm, Whistler RCMP and BC Conservation Services conducted patrols on Soo River FSR to investigate a possible Rave in the area.

Approximately 75 vehicles were parked at the 7 km marker of Soo River FSR. Officers observed approximately 100 people on the road and in the woods.

The event was shut down and the DJ equipment was removed from scene.

This incident is still under investigation.

On July 17, at 2:02 AM, Whistler RCMP responded to 10 people fighting in the 4300 block of Main Street.

Police arrives to find two men with bloody faces. All parties involved were originally arrested after medical assistance for assault and later released without charges.
