New way-finding signage has been installed on Oceanfront Squamish.
“These signs help to direct public safely around site. Please take notice of all erected signs, paying particular attention to areas around street crossings,” Matthews West said in an update.
A temporary parking lot has also been constructed on the west side of the temporary road, allowing public to easily park vehicles and access the Cattermole and Blind Chanel beaches by foot.
Public trails are also highlighted on a map at this location.
“Following new signage and using the temporary parking will help ensure public safety and keep the flow of traffic away from the construction,” the company said.
Construction of the Main Road and material hauling for Oceanfront Squamish continue, and have resulted in increased truck traffic on site.
Oceanfront Squamish anticipates that main road construction would be complete by early September, while material hauling will stretch into the fall 2021.
“Matthews West thanks the community for their support and consideration of the ongoing changes on the Oceanfront Squamish site,” the company said.
