Starting today, proof of vaccination required at district facilities

Staff report
September 13, 2021 10:11am

As of Monday, September 13, proof of vaccination is required to attend certain programs and activities held at District of Squamish recreation facilities.

This includes Brennan Park Recreation Centre as well as The 55 Activity Centre, which will open for programs two days a week, Thursdays and Friday, beginning September 16.

A B.C. Vaccine Card is the easiest way to show proof of vaccine.

District staff are also working to put the necessary operational protocols in place and more details will be available shortly.

Those registered in a program to which the vaccine requirement applies will also be asked to present proof of vaccine.

“We thank you in advance for approaching these measures with kindness and patience as we move through these steps towards protecting ourselves and each other, and to putting this pandemic behind us,” district says.

District also recently released its Squamish Recreation Services Fall Program Guide.
