Squamish RCMP helped Natural Resources Canada to ‘remove’ an illegal music event this past weekend in Upper Squamish Valley.

“Under the Provincial Land Act those who organize such events can be issued a notice and have the property seized,” Squamish RCMP said.

“The Upper Squamish Valley is an environmentally sensitive area and this year we have seen an unprecedented amount of music events in our backcountry” says Staff Sergeant Gareth Bradley.

Please contact police if you know of any such illegal event.

Squamish RCMP ask anyone with any information about any crime or illegal activity to contact the Squamish RCMP at 604-892-6100, or, contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS, or, go to www.solvecrime.ca
