Green tech company to create 100 jobs in Squamish

Staff report
September 17, 2021 1:49pm

A green construction technology company, Nexii Building Solutions Inc.  says it is looking to add over 100 full-time jobs in town.

In March 2021, Nexii says it opened a manufacturing plant in Squamish, creating a range of green construction jobs with competitive benefits and an innovative work environment.

As the demand for sustainable building products increases, Nexii says it has continued to actively hire locally.

“At Nexii, we are committed to the pursuit of a better world through positive change. We have a supportive leadership and culture, and our workplace is inclusive, innovative, and collaborative”, says Gregor Robertson, Executive Vice President of Nexii.

“We’ve been actively working to hire locally for our Squamish manufacturing plant. The demand for green construction is increasing significantly and we must meet this demand to play our part in addressing climate change and urgently reducing the impacts of our buildings and construction.”

Locals can find out more about the available positions here.

Great news. … I am assuming these units are the New technology modular units of the pasts … ones that the candles do not get blown out at 11:30 am when the Squamish winds develop a bit of thrust … now to find serviced land that will serve as the property…. leased or owned, reminds me of all the work Will Croxial put into the idea of low cost housing … and never was rewarded with any cudoe’s for his forward thinking …. we should all be embarrassed …. especially council.
