November 4, 2021 7:10am

The public is invited to an upcoming presentation regarding the findings from a flood hazard mapping and risk assessment work done on Cheakamus River.

The Squamish-Lillooet Regional District contracted Ebbwater Consulting Inc. to conduct flood hazard mapping and risk assessment along the Cheakamus River between the District of Squamish municipal boundary at Culliton Creek and the Daisy Lake Damn, near Highway 99.

The study included flooding and erosion and sedimentation hazard and risk assessments of floodplain and other valley bottom areas located within or near the SLRD Electoral Area D community of Paradise Valley and Tunnel Station.

SLRD is hosting a public presentation where the contractor will speak on the key findings and take questions from public.

The presentation will be delivered virtually via the Zoom meeting platform at 7 pm on Monday, November 29, 2021. Anyone can attend and the online link can be accessed using the web link.
