Staff report
November 10, 2021 7:41am

A snowfall warning is in effect for Coquihalla Highway, from  Hope to Merritt.

Heavy snow continues this morning.

A frontal system has given 38 cm of snow to Coquihalla Highway from Hope to Merritt last night.

An additional snow accumulation of 10 cm is forecast before the snow tapers off to a few flurries later this morning.

“Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions. Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow. If visibility is reduced while driving, turn on your lights and maintain a safe following distance,” cautions DriveBC.

Weather in the mountains can change suddenly resulting in hazardous driving conditions. Road conditions are available at www.drivebc.ca.
