New distillery and cocktail lounge opens in Squamish

staff report
July 5, 2022 9:37am

Raincity Distillery, a new small-batch craft distillery, have announced they will be opening their cocktail lounge and tasting room on July 15.

Their distillery is located behind The Brick in the industrial area at 8-38918 Progress Way.

On July 15, Raincity Distillery will open their doors to the locals for a tasting of their spirits, a tour of the distillery, and a night of delicious cocktails, food, fun and live music. Tickets are available on Eventbrite.

Many customers have raved after tasting Loving Dusk Raspberry Gin, a ‘dangerously smooth’ gin that is sweet, tarty, packed with real raspberries and a favourite among all age groups and genders. “Loving Dusk is an extremely playful gin that mixes well in so many cocktails. It’s also easy to sip straight from the bottle”, says Alex Mumm, Head Distiller at Raincity Distillery.

Raincity has won two awards at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition. Iron Buddha Gin, their signature sipping gin, bagged the Bronze at the 2022 San Francisco World Spirits Competition. Black Tusk Smoked Vodka, which offers a subtle smokey flavour and aroma, won the Silver, the company said.
