On August 3, 2022, Squamish RCMP received a report of a suspicious vehicle that was parked in the same location on Depot and Reid Rd for the past two weeks.
Police determined that the vehicle was stolen out of Garibaldi Highlands and had sustained ignition damage. The Forensic Identification Unit was not able to attend as someone had touched the car and contaminated the scene.
Storage lockers broken into
On August 2, Squamish RCMP responded to calls to the 37000 block of Third Avenue, where storage lockers had been pried open and several items were stolen, including an Alps hunting pack, a Garmin GPS, a Bushnell range finder, a Bataleon evil twin snowboard (white board with green and blue bindings), Salomon snowboard boots, camping gear, hardware tools, and clothing. One suspect has been arrested by the police.
Stolen electric e-bike
On August 8, Squamish RCMP received a report of an electric Segway-9BOT, black and grey in colour with white stickers that was stolen from the 38000 block of Fourth Ave between August 6 and 7.
