On August 23, Squamish RCMP responded to an attempted catalytic converter theft which was disrupted by the car’s alarm.
However, there was damage to the rocker panel and a minor dent of the vehicle. There were no witnesses or video surveillance. On the same day, there were reports of stolen catalytic converters from Sweetwater Place and Winnipeg Street.
On August 29, 2022, Squamish RCMP responded to a suspicious vehicle that was insecure and partially blocking a driveway on Brunswick Beach Rd in Lions Bay.
Police found several stolen items including a catalytic converter. The vehicle was towed and the expired insurance on the vehicle shows the owner is a prolific property offender.
On August 27, Squamish RCMP received a report of graffiti inside and outside the rail cars of the Squamish Railway Museum. The mischief occurred between 5 pm on August 26 and 9 am on August 27. Currently there are no witnesses and there is no clear video surveillance.
