Squamish RCMP look for man seen lighting fire to garbage outside downtown building

Squamish RCMP are on the lookout for a man who was seen lighting garbage on fire in Downtown Squamish.

 

On September 10, police received a report of man lighting garbage on fire outside a building in the 1300 block of Pemberton Avenue. The incident happened in front of Shoppers Drug Mart in Downtown Squamish.

Squamish Fire Rescue and police responded to ensure the fire was out. The man is about six feet tall and was seen pushing a shopping cart in the area. Police investigation continues.

On September 9, an intoxicated man walked into a local restaurant and pretended to be a server. Police arrested the man and put him in local jail cell until he was sober.
