Police investigating road rage assault at Superstore parking lot in North Van

January 10, 2023 6:36pm

North Vancouver RCMP are seeking assistance from witnesses to an alleged road rage incident that escalated into a physical altercation on Wednesday, January 4.

On January 4, at approximately 1 pm, officers responded to a road rage incident near Mount Seymour Parkway and Lillooet Road in North Vancouver.

Bystanders called 911 after the occupants of two vehicles exiting the Superstore parking lot entered into an altercation. During the dispute, the occupants of one of the vehicles are alleged to have assaulted the occupants of the other vehicle. Police are describing the vehicle of the alleged aggressors as a black Dodge Minivan, and the victims of the assault as a man and woman.

“Investigators have obtained some photo evidence of the individuals allegedly involved in the assault, but we believe there is more out there,” said Cst. Mansoor Sahak of the North Vancouver RCMP. “In an effort to further our investigation, we are asking anyone who saw what took place or who has cell phone or dash cam video, or any other evidence, to contact us at 604-985-1311 and quote file 23-219.”

There seem to be so many overwhelmed and angry people in the news and in our lives. I wonder if a well researched and written article on anger management and de-escalation strategies would be a positive step toward helping us all deal with life’s frustrations and struggles?
