Are you a registered charity in Squamish? The Squamish Community Foundation is inviting local charities to apply for their 2023 Annual Grants.  SCF’s Annual Grants support local projects that enrich the quality of life in Squamish. Projects must align with one of the following grant categories:

Environmental Sustainability

Health and Social Development/Housing

Music and Performing Arts

Recreation and Sports

Youth Programming

General Fund for Urgent and Current Community Needs

These grant categories align directly with the foundation’s endowment funds and their respective available granting amounts.

Organizations can choose one category, and should consider the available funding in that category when creating their budget and grant request. The last date to apply is May 26 at 5 pm. Karen Clarke can be contacted at info@squamishfoundation.com if you have any questions.

All applications are reviewed by an independent Grant Committee, which is comprised of Squamish community members and chaired by one or more SCF board members. The committee provides a list of recommended recipients to the SCF Board of Directors, which are then voted upon by the board. In 2022, the Squamish Community Foundation awarded over $30,000 in funding to 14 registered charities and non-profit organizations running programs in Squamish. The SCF also granted $2,500 in scholarship funds.
