The Sea to Sky Hospice Society is inviting the community to get active for the 17th annual Hike for Hospice with hiking, biking and golfing, or any activity that you choose in the name of the Sea to Sky Hospice Society.

This year, the month of May is a month dedicated to raising awareness about, and funds for, the Sea to Sky Hospice Society.

“We invite you to hike, bike, golf or simply get active for hospice and make a difference! Create a team and get pledges, make a donation and let us know that you care. Show your support for your community through supporting our important services,” the society said. “The Sea to Sky Hospice Society exists and works so that you, your loved ones and your communities have access to supportive services and programs to facilitate a life well lived to the end of one’s life.  We also offer bereavement support for those experiencing grief from the loss of a loved one.”

Residents are encouraged to form a team, enlist families and friends, get pledges and get healthy by hiking, biking or golfing during the month of May for the Sea to Sky Hospice Society. Community members can also bid on one of the gifts in the silent auction, or buy a raffle ticket. The silent auction is digital this year and will be ready for bids starting May 11 with bidding closing on May 27. The raffle tickets will also be available online and in person at the event on May 27.

On May 27, from 11 am to 3 pm at O’Siyam Pavilion and Junction Park, the society will celebrate community and our services. There will be food, music, and entertainment for the whole family.
