Squamish RCMP is investigating after a driver was bear-sprayed by another driver near Highway 99 and Garibaldi Way.
Both the drivers have an ongoing dispute but no one was seriously injured in this incident. On May 26, around 7:40 pm, two people stopped their cars alongside one another near Highway 99 and Garibaldi Way, Squamish RCMP said. The first driver then bear sprayed the second driver, who also had some young passengers in the car. Police continue to look into this matter.
On May 29, at about 1:30 pm, a cyclist and pickup truck driver collided in the 1800 block of Mamquam Road. The cyclist sustained minor injuries and didn’t receive any medical attention. Police continue to follow up on this matter.
Squamish RCMP has arrested a man who was snooping through yards in a Garibaldi Highlands area. During the early hour of May 26, 2023, police received multiple reports of a man snooping through yards in the 40400 block of Thunderbird Ridge. Officers located the man and arrested him for trespass and resisting arrest.
