Starting today, Squamish residents and visitors will be able to order delivery from local restaurants on Uber Eats.
Squamish is among 10 new cities and towns that can now use Uber Eats to order deliveries, the company announced today. The other nine cities are Vernon, Whistler, Mission, Courtenay, Campbell River, Penticton, Duncan, Cranbrook, and Fort St. John.
Uber Eats aims to be available in over 275 cities across the country by the end of the year, expanding rapidly as more Canadians embrace the convenience of delivery.
“As cities and towns across Canada grapple with challenging macroeconomic trends, Uber Eats offers local restaurants a new way to connect with hungry customers and local delivery people to make delivery fast and easy,” the company said. “Our expansion into new cities in British Columbia also means that we’re creating flexible earning opportunities for people from all walks of life who choose to deliver on the platform.”
To celebrate, the company is also running a special offer of $0 Delivery Fees in the ten cities on all eligible merchants for a limited time only.

The offer 0$ delivery so they can try to kill actual local company’s. Just like skip and door dash ended Just Call Terry. The drivers for these company’s break local bylaws for not having business licenses to be general contractors in city limits. Shame on you for taking money from these company’s to make posts like this.
