The District of Squamish has sold the forestry building on Loggers Lane to Vancouver Coastal Health. The in-camera decision by the District was revealed in the January 14 council meeting minutes.
“The District of Squamish has agreed to the disposition of 42000 Loggers Lane (Forestry Building) to Vancouver Coastal Health Authority, based on the following key terms: Purchase Price $17.49 Million and completion date is January 31, 2024,” the minutes say.
Council has directed the publication of statutory notices by the requirements of the Community Charter. The building currently has offices of the Ministry of Forests and the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure.
It also homes FrontCounterBC, a provincial office where natural resource clients obtain information and authorizations to start or expand a business.
The Squamish Reporter has contacted Vancouver Coastal Health about its plans for the Loggers Lane site.
