Students at the Howe Sound Secondary are gearing up for an exciting fashion show fundraiser titled “New Horizons,” which is set to take place on February 24, 2024.  The event will be held at the Eagle Eye Theatre and feature the latest fashion trends modelled by the school’s students.

Partnering with local boutique Wild and Heart, the evening promises to showcase community spirit and support for the graduating class 2024. The theme, “New Horizons”, symbolizes the commencement of a new chapter in the lives of the graduating class 2024.

Attendees can expect a night filled with entertainment, delicious food from Peak Provisions Mountain Grocery and Goods, and a mocktail bar, all while experiencing the latest fashion trends. Tickets for the event are priced at $30 each and can be purchased through the Grad Committee’s Instagram page: https://www.instagram.com/hssfashionshow24/

“The Eagle Eye Theatre will be transformed into a hub of excitement, with a mocktail bar offering custom creations, delectable appetizers from Peak Provisions Mountain Grocery and Goods, and a diverse array of vendors providing a unique retail experience. Live band entertainment will set the stage for a night to remember during a live and silent auction,” the students said in a press release.

The funds raised from the event will go towards the 2024 prom, covering expenses such as venue, catering, music, entertainment, and transportation. The dedicated members of the Grad Committee, including Chloe Young, Siena Steffensen, Kylie Bloom, Sydney Vanzella, Kianna Heisterman, Daelyn Joseph, Nicole Mcleod, Bella Askew, Riya Sandhu, Reese Winn, Julie Schaber, and Annie Derrick, have been working tirelessly to ensure the success of this event.

This event seeks to bring the community together and encourages support for local businesses and the graduating students of 2024. The Grad Committee invites everyone to join them for an evening of fashion and fun, all for a good cause.
