District of Squamish has issued a notice about the closure of Valley Drive in Squamish, which will be in effect from March 4 to March 15.
On March 4 and 5, Valley Drive will be inaccessible to regular traffic flow from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. The closure is attributed to filming activities scheduled for those days. Drivers are asked to use Clarke Drive as an alternative route.
Traffic management personnel will be stationed on-site throughout these periods to ensure smooth operations and mitigate inconvenience. After filming sessions, Valley Drive will be closed from March 6 through March 15 for embankment work that will be carried out by District of Squamish crews.
The maintenance project will be active on weekdays, Monday through Friday, between 7:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Commuters are encouraged to use alternative routes to avoid potential delays. “Please plan your route ahead to avoid delays and obey all signage and traffic personnel during this time,” says the District of Squamish. People are also sked to comply with signage and directives by traffic personnel during construction.
