Langley RCMP investigators have released new information on Brianne Ford’s appearance in their ongoing search for Tyler Durocher, a 3-month-old baby whom his mother abducted without permission.

Investigators now believe Ford has only one side of her brown hair shaved with purple highlights. She was last seen wearing a black leather jacket, though investigators are unable to confirm if she was wearing that at the time of the abduction.

The child’s mother, Brianne Ford, 35, was reported to have gone to a home in the area of 72 Avenue and 208 Street in the afternoon of Thursday, April 4, 2024, and fled on foot with the child without permission. An Amber Alert was activated yesterday around 8 pm.

The Langley Serious Crime Unit has taken over the investigation and is working with all partner agencies to bring Tyler home safely. Investigators are also following up on multiple tips and pursuing all possible avenues of inquiry.

The RCMP’s Air 1 and Search and Rescue also assisted in the overnight search in the area surrounding 72 Avenue and 208 Street. Anyone who has information on Tyler’s current whereabouts is urged to call 911. The Langley RCMP will hold a media availability at 11:30 a.m. today, April 5, 2024, at Langley Detachment 22180 48a Avenue.
