Local artists from the Sea to Sky corridor have a unique opportunity to showcase their talent and passion for sustainability through a new public art initiative. Diamond Head Development calls for proposals from artists in Squamish and Whistler for a distinctive art piece to be displayed on the exterior of The Levette, a new condo building on Raven Drive in Squamish.
The chosen artwork will be featured on perforated metal and will adorn the front exterior of The Levette, becoming a lasting part of the community’s landscape. This initiative aims to enhance the aesthetic appeal of the new development and highlight the importance of sustainability in art and architecture.
“We are thrilled to invite local artists to contribute to this exciting project,” said Jenna Bowerman, Sales and Marketing Manager at Diamond Head Development. “This is a fantastic opportunity for artists to showcase their creativity and leave a lasting impression in the community.”
Artists interested in participating must submit their proposals by July 31, 2024. Proposals should include the artist’s name, contact information, a design concept, inspiration, a portfolio of past work, and the artist’s fee. Submissions should be emailed to info@finchdrive.com.
