The Downtown Squamish Business Improvement Association (DSBIA) is inviting the community to a festive community event, the Pumpkin Patch in the Park, on Saturday, October 19. Families are invited to Stan Clarke Park from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. for a day filled with Halloween-themed activities, food and live entertainment.

Face painting, Halloween crafts, and a trick-or-treat adventure around the park are the activities families can enjoy. Children’s entertainer Ira Pettle and musician Marc Charron will perform at the event.  People are encouraged to come in costume and join the fun.

While admission is free, pumpkins will be available for a minimum donation of $5 each, with proceeds supporting the Squamish Accessibility Commitment and the Squamish General Hospital Auxiliary Society.

Kerry Neil, Executive Director of the Downtown Squamish BIA, expressed excitement about the return of this popular event. “We’re thrilled to bring back beloved activities like Halloween crafts, face painting, balloon animals, and more. The Downtown Squamish Trick or Treat is also returning, giving children the chance to collect treats from local businesses.”

Children will receive a treat bag and a stamp card for the trick-or-treat trail, with the opportunity to win a grand prize donated by local businesses after completing the route. Several local sponsors support the event, including the Rotary Club of Squamish, Squamish Farmers Market, Save-On-Foods, and Sea to Sky Courier.
