Capilano University adds new programs to Squamish campus

staff report
October 23, 2024 12:12pm

Capilano University has announced a slate of new programs for Fall term 2025 at its Squamish campus, which opened in September. In a press release, the university said the additional programs complement the existing courses to meet the needs of students and businesses in the Sea to Sky region and beyond.

The newly added programs for Fall 2025 are:

Bachelor of Business Administration

Bachelor of Environment and Society (Environmental Studies)

Education Assistant Certificate

Diploma in Kinesiology

Tourism Management Co-operative Education Diploma

The Fall offerings are in addition to the programs currently offered at CapU Squamish, including:

Adult Basic Education

Arts – Associate Degree

Business Administration – Certificate and Diploma

Early Childhood Care and Education – Bachelor and Diploma

Interdisciplinary Studies – Bachelor

CapU Squamish students will have the option to earn a bachelor’s degree in four areas of study, or to choose courses that lead to a certificate or diploma.

“For students seeking an innovative and distinct university experience, CapU Squamish provides the ideal backdrop. Students will benefit from small classes and individualized support in an exceptional learning environment,” explains Brian Storey, associate vice president, CapU Squamish. “At the same time, they are part of a larger regional university that spans the Sea to Sky corridor, where they can draw on work-integrated learning experiences in tourism, early childhood education, environmental stewardship and more.”

Applications for all 2025 CapU Squamish programs and courses are open.

Students enrolled in CapU Squamish will also have the option to live on campus. With more than 200 single-bed rooms available in the university’s three student housing buildings, CapU anticipates being able to accommodate all students who apply for on-campus housing in Squamish for the Fall 2025 term.
