Diamond Head Development has announced that its latest project, the Madden Duplexes at Finch Drive, has earned Net Zero certification from the Canadian Home Builders’ Association (CHBA), a significant milestone in sustainable housing in British Columbia.  Designed to produce as much energy as they consume, the homes set a new benchmark in environmentally conscious construction and are geared toward enhancing homeowner lifestyles and the environment.

“Our vision was to create the most advanced environmentally friendly community,” said Jason Wood, owner of Diamond Head Development. “Climate change has given us no choice but to become entirely conscious of our impact on the planet. We’re doing things nobody’s done before in the Sea-to-Sky Corridor.”

“Today’s buyers are increasingly looking for homes with sustainable features, and having a certified Net Zero property will make yours stand out in the competitive real estate market,” says Jason Wood, the founder and president of Diamond Head Development.

Diamond Head Development has implemented multiple green technologies at Finch Drive to achieve this high level of energy efficiency. The homes feature superior insulation, airtight construction, geothermal heating and cooling, and energy-saving technology throughout. These elements create comfortable and eco-friendly living spaces and provide long-term savings for homeowners on energy bills.

Wood, who previously led the construction of Squamish’s first Net Zero home, said the project marks the company’s commitment to sustainability on a broader scale. “Finch Drive meets future energy-based building standards for 2032, reaching Step Code 5, is Net Zero Ready, solar power-ready, and operates with zero emissions,” he said.

Solar Panel Promotion Adds Value for Homeowners

To celebrate the Net Zero certification, Diamond Head is offering an exclusive promotion: a free solar panel upgrade valued at $29,500 for those who purchase a duplex or townhome at Finch Drive. This limited-time offer underscores the company’s mission to make sustainable living accessible.

“We hope this promotion inspires more homeowners to reduce their carbon footprint by embracing Net Zero living,” said Wood. “By offering this upgrade at no additional cost, we’re making the transition to sustainable housing an easy choice.”

According to Diamond Head, Net Zero homes provide environmental benefits and make for sound investments as demand for energy-efficient homes continues to grow. “Today’s buyers are increasingly looking for homes with sustainable features, and having a certified Net Zero property will make yours stand out in the competitive real estate market,” said Wood.

Diamond Head Development’s Madden Duplexes, with their commitment to energy efficiency and environmental impact reduction, stand as a testament to the possibilities of green building in British Columbia. Interested buyers are encouraged to take advantage of the promotion and join a forward-looking, eco-friendly community at Finch Drive.
