Alert: More snow on its way in Howe Sound

staff report
February 2, 2025 1:39pm

Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning for Metro Vancouver and Howe Sound, with 10 to 20 centimetres expected by Monday morning.

Higher elevations will see more, but even lower areas could face intense flurries, poor visibility, and slippery roads. Snow may ease into wet flurries or showers in the afternoon before another round of heavy snowfall overnight into Monday.

Road conditions could worsen quickly, making travel difficult on highways, sidewalks, and parking lots. Officials advise residents to stay updated and prepare for changing conditions. Environment Canada encourages the public to report severe weather via email at BCstorm@ec.gc.ca or on social media using #BCStorm.
