Two legion members awarded King Charles III Coronation Medal

The Squamish Royal Canadian Legion Branch #277 members Russell Robertson and Greg Trenholm have been awarded the King Charles III Coronation Medal for their service and contributions to the community and country.

Nominated by their comrades at Branch #277, Robertson and Trenholm received the medal at a ceremony in Surrey, B.C., on February 22, 2025. The commemorative medal was created to mark the coronation of King Charles III on May 6, 2023, and recognizes individuals who have made a meaningful impact in their communities.

Robertson and Trenholm have both served in United Nations and NATO peacekeeping missions in Bosnia and Afghanistan, demonstrating exceptional dedication abroad. “I am extremely grateful that members of the Squamish Legion – Diamond Head Branch 277 nominated me the King Charles III Coranation Medal. I cannot thank our membership enough,” said the Squamish Legion President Russ Robertson.
