The wildfire on Brohm Ridge is being held, which means it is projected to remain within the current perimeter, control line or boundary. The human-caused wildfire was burning in 4.36 hectares at Brohm Ridge.

“We continue to respond to the Brohm Ridge fire (V30169) northeast of Squamish, which was discovered on Saturday, April 27, and is currently approximately 4 hectares in size,” said Sarah Budd, an information officer with the BC Wildfire Service. “Firefighters stayed onsite overnight on Sunday to monitor the fire for growth and continue response.”

It’s a low-intensity surface fire, showing an unorganized flame front and a slow growth rate, she added.  There is no immediate threat to public safety or property. A 20-unit crew was part of the initial attack crew with support from a response officer and a helicopter.
