Housing Squamish is updating its Housing Interest List to make sure information is accurate for residents currently seeking rental housing in the community.

How to Register

  • Step 1: Visit the updated Housing Interest List Registration Form
  • Step 2: Fill out the form with your current information
  • Step 3: Stay tuned for housing opportunities as they become available

In a newsletter released August 19, the non-profit said the update will allow them to notify people quickly when units become available, with some potentially opening this fall. The Housing Interest List is a confidential registry of residents who are actively looking for rental housing in Squamish.

“The Housing Interest List is a key way we stay in touch with residents interested in rental housing options,” Housing Squamish said in the newsletter. “To serve the community better, we need the most accurate and current information.”

The non-profit has made updates to its registration form to help better understand housing needs in the community. The update also ensures the list reflects individuals and families who are actively searching for homes.

Residents who register will receive notifications about rental units becoming available through Housing Squamish. However, the organization noted that joining the Housing Interest List is not a housing application and does not affect eligibility for future applications. Duplicate registrations may slow the process, and only those currently or soon seeking housing are encouraged to update their details.
