Woodfibre LNG has opened the Fall 2025 intake for its Community Partnership Program, which provides funding to non-profit groups in the Sea to Sky region.
The program supports organizations involved in sports and recreation, education, health and wellness, arts and culture, marine safety, and local search and rescue. Non-profits can apply for up to $5,000 in funding before the October 10 deadline.
According to Woodfibre LNG, more than 60 local groups received $300,000 in funding through the program in 2024. Earlier this year, 63 organizations shared $150,000 in support.
“Good neighbours look out for each other, and we’re committed to supporting the organizations that make Squamish and the Sea to Sky region caring and connected communities,” said Luke Schauerte, CEO of Woodfibre LNG. Applications can be submitted online at woodfibrelng.ca/cpp. Funding recipients will be announced in spring 2026.
The Woodfibre LNG facility is under construction near Squamish on the traditional territory of the Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw (Squamish Nation). The company says it will be the world’s first net zero LNG facility when operations begin in 2027.
