Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning for the Sea to Sky region, with up to 15 centimetres of snow expected between Brandywine and Whistler throughout Thursday.

A frontal system moving onto the B.C. coast is bringing steady snowfall this morning, which is forecast to continue until evening before transitioning to rain and easing overnight.
Motorists and pedestrians are being advised to prepare for challenging conditions. Accumulating snow will make roads and walkways slippery, while reduced visibility is likely at times. The weather in the mountains can change suddenly, creating hazardous driving conditions.
Drivers are urged to turn on headlights, reduce speed, and maintain a safe following distance. The provincial campaign Shift Into Winter reminds travellers to adjust their driving behaviour for winter conditions and to use proper tires and chains.
Road condition updates are available at drivebc.ca. Environment Canada encourages residents to monitor ongoing alerts and forecasts, and to report severe weather by emailing BCstorm@ec.gc.ca or posting on X using the hashtag #BCStorm.
