Three people were transported to the hospital Sunday afternoon following a motor vehicle incident on Highway 99 near Daisy Lake Road, north of Squamish, according to BC Emergency Health Services.

One was in serious condition and two were in stable conditions. BC EHS received the call at 3:34 p.m. and dispatched a major response to the scene. Two ground ambulances staffed with primary care paramedics and one air ambulance attended the crash, where paramedics provided emergency medical treatment to all three patients before transport.

A local resident and admin of the popular Sea to Sky Road Conditions page has also launched a petition about highway safety.

There significant speeding and tailgating of those who choose to respect the posted speed limits and perhaps drive below them. I strongly support the installation of speed control cameras.

I think speed cameras should be added to the sea sky corridor
