Zach Choboter first moved to the Sea to Sky region in 2019 and quickly fell in love with the area’s natural beauty.
Two years later, he put that passion into motion — literally — rollerblading more than 10,000 km across Canada. The journey earned him a record for the longest rollerblading trip and led to the creation of his nonprofit, Blading for Bees, which raises funds to combat world hunger and protect pollinators.
Now, after years of planning, Choboter is taking his mission global.
Beginning March 1, Choboter will set off on a rollerblading journey around the world, tripling the distance of his previous record. His goal is to raise $1 million to support efforts to end world hunger and protect bees, which play a critical role in global food systems.
Choboter will officially depart the morning of March 1 from the Terry Fox statue at BC Place in downtown Vancouver. Supporters can follow his journey on Instagram or track his progress live through his website.
