In a press release, Tourism Squamish said the annual festival brings together local food and beverage businesses to showcase unique hot chocolate creations during the winter season. This year marks the event’s largest lineup yet, with 34 participating establishments offering a wide range of flavours and styles, including vegan, dairy-free, and gluten-free options.

A returning feature of the festival is the Squamish Hot Chocolate Festival Tasting Passport, which encourages people to visit different eateries throughout Squamish. Passports will be available starting Feb. 1 at the Squamish Adventure Centre, and can also be downloaded from the Tourism Squamish website or the @squamishhotchocolatefestival Instagram page.

Participants can collect stamps from participating locations and submit their completed passports for a chance to win a stand-up paddleboard, the press release said.

“Year after year, the Hot Chocolate Festival continues to be a well-loved community event,” Nikki Johnston, Communications and Stakeholder Relations Manager at Tourism Squamish, said. She added that the festival highlights the creativity of local businesses while giving residents and visitors a reason to explore Squamish during the winter months.

According to the press release, the festival offers a cozy way to experience Squamish, with dozens of unique hot chocolate creations available across town throughout the three-week event.
