Cleveland Avenue will face traffic restrictions this week as Squamish prepares for the 2026 Arc’teryx Climb Academy, taking place from August 21 to 25.
According to the impact notice issued by the District of Squamish on Facebook, Cleveland Avenue will be reduced to single-lane southbound traffic between Main and Victoria Street on Wednesday, August 19.
The road will then be closed between Main and Victoria Street from Thursday, August 20 through Monday, August 24, according to the notice. The closure will allow time for event setup and teardown.
Noise impacts are also expected until 11 p.m. on Friday, August 21, and Saturday, August 22. Drivers are also advised to expect increased pedestrian and cyclist activity in the area. Bike valet services will be available from event organizers.
