Squamish McDonald’s restaurant manager has received national recognition for her leadership and work with employees.
McDonald’s Canada has named Cecilia Tejoso a 2026 Outstanding Manager of the Year, placing her among the top five per cent of restaurant leaders across Canada.
Tejoso began working for McDonald’s in the Philippines in 2005 while studying communication arts in college. She moved to Whistler in 2023, became a general manager in 2024 and moved to Squamish in 2025.
“Receiving this award is a wonderful surprise and has made me look back with so much gratitude for everyone who’s helped me get this far,” Tejoso said. “True leadership is never an individual achievement. So many incredible mentors and team members have helped shape me into the leader I am today.”
She said her team shares in every success and that the award belongs to all of them.
Restaurant franchisee Amir Aminpour described Tejoso as an exceptional, people-focused leader who made an immediate impact in Squamish.
“Her hands-on coaching style and dedication to her crew’s development have transformed our workplace culture,” Aminpour said. “She leads from the front line, she is a true talent and this award is incredibly well-deserved.”
McDonald’s Canada franchisees and regional management nominate managers annually based on quality, customer service, team development and community support.
