A GoFundMe campaign has been launched to support Brian Bartow’s children, Gavin and Avery, following his sudden death.
Beth Hurford, the sister of Bartow’s wife, Chelsea, organized the fundraiser after people asked to help the family.

According to Hurford’s campaign description, the funds will support opportunities, adventures and future pursuits for Gavin and Avery, guided by the values their father instilled in them.

Hurford remembered Bartow as a devoted husband and father whose family was at the centre of his life. She also described him as an artist, athlete, musician and entertainer who was curious, creative and always ready for an adventure.

“Brian showed up—for his family, his friends and his community,” she wrote.

In a tribute, Loggers League remembered Bartow as a champion with trophies and world records, whose humility and warmth extended beyond his achievements.

“He had every right to brag, yet he wore his greatness lightly,” the league wrote.

The tribute described someone who welcomed rivals and strangers with equal warmth and had a gift for making people feel seen. It also remembered his creativity as an artist and musician, and his love for his wife and children.

“The medals will gather dust. The way he made people feel never will,” the tribute said, closing with: “Climb high, Sky King.”
Hurford said the family has received an outpouring of kindness and generosity since his death, with people asking how they can offer support in the years ahead.
