Patrick Weiler, an environmental and resource management lawyer, has been nominated as the Team Trudeau candidate in the West Vancouver—Sunshine Coast—Sea to Sky Country riding for this fall’s important federal election.

Whistler resident Suzanne Robson leapt off her couch when she discovered she had won $500,000 by matching all four Extra numbers on her Lotto 6/49 ticket from the August 14, 2019 draw.

The incident happened on August 6th, 2019 at approximately 7:30pm. Squamish RCMP said the woman fell approximately 20 meters. She was climbing the rocks to find a better spot to jump into water.

The sculptures were designed to “recruit” rockfish, whose population had decreased drastically before the introduction of catch limits and management actions in 1986, and has not yet rebounded.

On Thursday, May 30, 2019 at approximately 3:15 PM, Whistler and Squamish RCMP and Emergency Services attended the scene of a fatal motorcycle collision on Highway 99, north of the Conroy Forest Service Road, about 20 kilometres south of Whistler, BC.

The cause of the collision remains under investigation by Sea to Sky Traffic Services and the Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service (ICARS) and nothing has been ruled out.
