Advanced voting begins today in Squamish

You have the chance to cast your vote starting today.

Advance Voting begins this week at The 55 Activity Centre and Brennan Park Recreation Centre.

Advance Voting Opportunities: 

  • Wednesday, October 10 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
    (The 55 Activity Centre, 1201 Village Green Way)
  • Saturday, October 13 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
    (Brennan Park Recreation Centre, 1009 Centennial Way)
  • Monday, October 15 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
    (The 55 Activity Centre, 1201 Village Green Way)
  • Wednesday, October 17 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
    (The 55 Activity Centre, 1201 Village Green Way)

 

The Local Government Act prohibits campaigning, which includes signage, within 100 metres of a voting place beginning at midnight on any day of voting.

If you live within 100 metres of Brennan Park Recreation Centre or The 55 Activity Centre please be aware of all voting opportunities to ensure any signage is removed. Signage can be replaced at midnight after the poll closing.

    Hi Gagan,
    Have you seen the blog post about the conflict of interest between Karen Elliot and the developer behind the ropes course?
    Will you be reporting on this? We will all be heading to the polls on Oct 20th and it is in the public interest to find out if Karen Elliot should have disclosed and recused herself from voting for the project in which the developers wife donated to her campaign. This would be considered a real conflict of interest and should have been disclosed to the public by Karen Elliot
