Squamish SPCA organises contest for ‘superstar’ pet

January 31, 2019 8:47am

The BC SPCA’s Sea to Sky Branch in Squamish is calling on owners of a BC SPCA cat or kitten to tell us why their pet is a superstar.

All adopters in the Squamish, Whistler and Pemberton area are invited to send in a written submission (no length requirement) telling us why “Life is better with an SPCA cat”.

The SPCA adopter with the best submission will win a professional photo shoot of their cat, and the SPCA will feature a mural-sized image of their pet on a wall in its new Sea to Sky Adoption & Education facility, which is scheduled to open this spring.

“We’re excited to connect with adopters who have provided a loving home for one of our cats and kittens, and to hear how the bond with their pet has made a difference in their lives,” says Krista Unser, manager of the Sea to Sky SPCA.

“We’re looking for funny stories, heartwarming stories, or just stories of how these beautiful creatures have been giving – and getting – love since their adoption.”

Stories can be submitted at seatosky@spca.bc.ca, via the branch’s Facebook page (www.facebook.com/bcspca.seatosky) or by mail at PO Box 659, Garibaldi Highlands, B.C., VON 1T0. Deadline for submissions is Feb. 15, 2019.

For more information, contact Krista Unser at kunser@spca.bc.ca or 604.898.9890.
