The people of Ukraine have been voted the sexiest among 50 nationalities in a recent survey you might find too subjective.
Big 7 Travel surveyed a sample of its 1.5 million social audience “to get an insight into where you’ll find the world’s most beautiful people”. They didn’t tell the respondents what constituted sexiness. So, respondents used their own interpretations of the term.
“Ukrainians have a striking appearance and have easily topped our poll for 2019. Who could disagree with this? It’s no wonder that so many models come from here,” said Big 7 Travel. Ukrainians are followed by the Danish and Filipinos. Canadians barely made it to the top ranks at No. 10.
In the pecking order of sexiness, Canadians are a tad less sexy than the English who are the 9th sexiest people and a bit sexier than Costa Ricans who are the 11th.
While Americans ranked at an unexpected No 45, the Irish, for some strange reason, are at the 50th, the lowest rank. Between Americans and the Irish are Norwegians, Slovenians, Belgians and Croatians.
“Even if the Irish people aren’t considered to have the most beautiful faces around, I think our reputation speaks for itself that we’re around the warmest and friendliest of nations out there,” said an article on The Irish Post written in a lighter vein. “Not to mention, the Emerald Isle itself is pretty sexy. Our mountains are pretty sexy, our coastlines are pretty sexy, our culture is pretty sexy, our history is pretty sexy. I mean, how did Scotland, Wales and England beat us??”
“I mean, have people not seen Jamie Dornan? Or Cillian Murphy, Saoirse Ronan, or Pierce Brosnan for that matter?” says another article, on Irish Central. “For goodness sake, we can even claim Victoria Secret model Stella Maxwell!
“Thankfully, we still have our accent, which across the board is always voted the sexiest in the world,” the article said, referring to another poll by Big 7 Travel on the sexiest accents in which Irish accent ranked at No. 3.
